sheepskin trapper hat. This trapper hat is made with extra-thick, warm black mouton sheepskin and a water-resistant black nylon shell. It has twill ties that extend from the ear flaps. The ear flaps can be worn down for extra warmth or neatly folded up and tied at the top. It is standard issue to all OPP officers. Mouton fur refers to lamb hair that has been straightened and thermally set to produce a moisture-repellent finish.
