Old Ingersoll Rand "Spot Air" model 3-R-36 radial engine and air compressor. Three cylinders burn gasoline, the other three compress air. I have been told these were used by the railroads many decades ago. These would be great for a collector, but are not really practical to use just for a normal air compressor.
There are two compressors here:
One is complete but has seized from sitting, meaning I can not turn it with the pull start wheel or even by grabbing the fan with my hand. I have not attempted to use any kind of tool or cheater bar. This one did run twenty or so years ago.
The other is a parts unit, it had been dropped or hit by a forklift before I got it, has damage and a few parts missing.
These is a lot about these IR Radial compressors to be found by searching the net, including videos of some running.
If this listing is still here, the compressors really are still available.
